University of Alabama

The university of the Alabama system af the flagship is  a public research university located Tuscaloosa ,Alabama us of the university of Alabama .It was founded in 1831,University of Alabama is one of the oldest and largest universities of Alabama. Doctoral degrees ,education specialist ,masters bachelors programs of study in 13 academic division for leading etc is offered by University of Alabama.

In the state of University of Alabama there is only  publicly supported law schools.other academic programs are not found in Alabama which includes programs in anthropology ,library and information studies,metallurgical engineering , music and social work.It is one of the first public universities which was established inthe early 19th century southwestern frontier of the united states,a vast cultural imprint on the state,region and nation over the past two countries  has left in the universities of Alabama. 

During the american war and the African -american civil rights movement the school was the center of activity.In 1892 the university of Alabama varsity football program was inaugurated and was ranked as one of the winning-est programs in US history.President George h.Denny in a 1913 speech extolled  the university as the capstone of the public school system in the state of Alabama, the universities lending its nickname capstone.The top 50 public universities was ranked by the university of Alabama.Congress authorized the newly created Alabama territory in 1818 to set a township for the establishment of a seminary for learning.On December 14 Alabama was admitted to the union and in 1819 a second township was added to the land grant bringing it to the total of 46000 acres.On December 18,1820 the seminary was established by the general assembly of Alabama. Which was named as the universities of the state of Alabama which was created for the board trustees for managing the construction and the operation of the universities.A place which was outside the city limits of the 

Tuscaloosa was choose by the board as a site .William Nichols has designed a new campus and also the architect of newly completed Alabama capitol building and Christ episcopal church which was influenced by the Thomas Jefferson plan at the university of the Virginia a 70 foot wide feature campus was designed by Nichols.The campus of nucleus and the library was served 70 foot high domed rotunda.In the nave of the Christ episcopal church the university charter was presented to the first university president.On April 18 ,1831 University of Alabama opened its door to the student. with the reverend Alva woods as president.
